Elaflex Braunring bitumen hose type HB.

Areas of use: Hot bitumen up to +200°C., heavy heating oil, light heating oil.

Characteristics: Specially well-suited for hot bitumen (+200°C). Can also be used for heavy heating oil (+120°C) and light heating oil (+90°C) as well as other mineral oil products as described for Elaflex hose type TW. Only to be used with potentially explosive medias, if couplings are correct mounted onto the hose and electrical discharge is possible. Not to be used with brown coal tar and coal tar. According to German regulation, bitumen hoses must always have e min. working pressure of 10 bar and a burst pressure of 40 bar. For safety reasosn the working pressure must not exceed 6 bar at +200°C. Instruction no. 10 regarding the use of bitumen hoses are available on request.

Construction: Mandrel-built wear-resistant suction and pressure hose. Smooth inside and outside. With braided reinforcements of syntetic yarns. Woven-in tin-plated copper-wires and steel-spiral between layers. Electrical discharge via copper-wires and steel-spiral. The outer layer of rubber are perforated to ensure diffusion. Electrical resistance less than or equal to 10 Mohm, when the couplings are correct mounted onto the hose. We recommend to use Elaflex couplings with Spannfix- or Spannloc-ferrules, see section 0206. Marked with brown rings and continously stamped with hose type, dimension, pressure and production date.

Material: Inside black synthetic Nitrile-rubber (NBR). Extremely heat resistant and mineral oil product resistant. Couplings: We recommend only to use hoses mounted with couplings with either Elaflex Spannfix or Spannloc-ferrules, as these can be extra-tightened. Seals in HBD or PTFE (Teflon). Blinding caps og -plugs should not be used.

The working pressures mentioned are with hot bitumen (+200°C) acc. to German regulation.
