Norgren electrically controlled valves for mobile pneumatics are developed in close cooperation with several of the world's leading truck manufacturers.
The demands on function are very high. Properties such as lifetime, operational reliability, vibration and shock resistance, temperature shock, resistance to moisture and salt, moisture and mud, etc., are very well defined. All verification has taken place according to accepted standards. As an example, cold tests according to IEC 68-2-1 Ab.
Valves from series 90400 are available as 2/2 and 3/2 valves with normally open alt. normally closed function. Several valves can be built together in valve ramps, which provides a simple assembly. In case of single assembly, the connection on both inlet and outlet is M12x1.5. The venting takes place on the upper side of the magnetic coil. An effective membrane protects against the penetration of water and pollution.
Alternatively, valves with an M12x1.5 connection are also available for venting. When the valve is mounted in a ramp, the valves are connected with a special mounting kit so that the valves have a common continuous air supply channel. The air supply is connected to the first valve in the ramp. The last valve in the ramp is plugged.
The valves are sold in Sweden with three different electrical connections; A two-pole connector that is locked with an M24x1 lock nut, a two-pole special connector (Volvo compatible) that is locked with a snap function and a two-pole connector with bayonet mounting according to DIN 72585.
