XL2 130 Ø32mm 4-hole 106.4

Danfoss XL2 Series – High-Torque Orbital Motors with Disc Valve Design

The Danfoss XL2 series belongs to the Xcel™ family of low-speed, high-torque orbital motors and is designed for medium-duty mobile and industrial applications requiring reliable torque output and long service life.
Built on a disc-valve system with a three-zone design, the XL2 delivers smooth operation, high efficiency, and stable performance under varying loads. Precision-engineered bearings and optimized porting ensure consistent torque and extended durability in a compact design.

Each motor in the XL2 range features a SAE A 2-bolt mounting flange, G-thread ports, and a robust steel housing engineered to meet demanding system requirements.

Key Advantages
  • High efficiency and torque stability at low speeds
  • Three-zone disc-valve design for extended life and true bi-directionality
  • Hydrodynamic bearings ensure smooth, reliable operation
  • Compact and durable construction for medium-duty applications
  • Optional cross-over relief or counterbalance valves for flexible system design
  • Displacement range: 80 – 490 cm³/rev
  • Continuous pressure: up to 205 bar

Intermittent pressure: up to 310 bar
Continuous torque: up to 845 Nm

Intermittent torque: up to 930 Nm
Speed capability: up to 900 rpm (depending on model)

Typical Applications

• Augers and screw conveyors
• Sweepers and snow blowers
• Conveyors and material-handling systems
• Agricultural and municipal equipment
• Compact drives and auxiliary hydraulic mechanisms

Technical Highlights

• Displacement range: 80 – 490 cm³/rev
• Flow capacity: up to 75 l/min continuous / 115 l/min intermittent
• Torque range: up to 845 Nm continuous / 930 Nm intermittent
• Operating temperature: –34 °C to +82 °C
• Recommended oil: Premium anti-wear hydraulic oil, viscosity ≥ 13 cSt at operating temperature
• Filtration: ISO 4406 class 20/18/13
• Ports: G ½ (pressure) / G ¼ (drain)
• Mounting flange: SAE A 2-bolt (Ø 82.5 mm pilot / Ø 106.4 mm bolt circle)
• Shaft options: Ø 32 mm cylindrical (code 16) or Ø 31.75 mm 14-tooth spline (code 99)
• Shaft seal: Standard pressure type (high-pressure optional)
• Maximum inlet pressure: 310 bar [4500 psi]

Note

Motors can run continuously at listed ratings; intermittent operation should not exceed 10 % of each minute.
For maximum service life, pre-run the motor at approximately 30 % of rated pressure for one hour before full-load operation.
Connecting a case drain line is recommended when operating at high pressures or temperatures to maintain low case pressure and extend seal life.
