XLS 245 Ø25mm SAE-A HPS

Danfoss XLS Series – High-Performance Orbital Motors

The Danfoss XLS series is designed for demanding mobile and industrial applications that require high torque at low speed.
Built on proven Geroler™ orbital technology with a spool-valve system and hydrodynamic journal bearings, the XLS motors deliver smooth performance, high efficiency, and long service life in a compact design.

All motors in this range are equipped with a high-pressure shaft seal and integrated check valves, which return case oil to the outlet port.
This design minimizes internal pressure and makes the case drain connection optional — ideal for installations where space and simplicity matter.

Key Advantages
  • High efficiency and torque stability at low speeds
  • Compact, robust construction for medium-duty use
  • Constant torque in both rotational directions
  • Integrated check valves (case drain optional, not required)
  • Factory-fitted high-pressure shaft seal on all models
  • Wide displacement range: 50 – 395 cm³/rev
  • Continuous pressure: up to 175 bar
  • Intermittent pressure: up to 207 bar
  • Intermittent torque: up to 503 Nm
  • Speed capability: up to 1193 rpm (depending on model)
Typical Applications
  • Aerial work platforms and lifts
  • Screw conveyors, augers, and feeders
  • Agricultural and forestry machinery
  • Process, packaging, and material-handling systems
  • Turf-care and landscape equipment
  • Winches, drives, and lifting mechanisms
Technical Highlights
  • Inlet pressure: up to 225 bar
  • Recommended oil viscosity: 20 – 32 cSt
  • Operating temperature: –34 °C to +82 °C
  • Port threads: G ½ (pressure) / G ¼ (optional drain)
  • Mounting flange: SAE A 2-bolt (A2) – Ø 82.5 mm pilot / Ø 106.4 mm bolt circle
  • Shaft options: Ø 25 mm straight (code 10) or SAE 6B 1" spline (code 07)
  • Shaft seal: High-pressure type (standard on all models)
  • Check valve: Integrated, directs oil to outlet port
Note

The case drain port is optional and not required under normal operating conditions.
For high-temperature or high-displacement applications, connecting an external drain line can further reduce case pressure and extend seal life.
